This is the Hot Jazz Biscuits.

01 / WELCOME

Hot Jazz Biscuits are a collective of professional musicians who love smashing through soul, funk, Motown and seriously good party music at weddings, parties and corporate events. Party bands start at five-piece and grow from there: proper players, slick arrangements, horns when the job wants them, and no backing tracks. Ever.

Tell us what you love, what you’d rather avoid and what sort of night you want. We’ll put together the right line-up for it, then get on with making the room go off.

Despite the name, very little jazz happens after 6pm.

02 / THE MUSIC

We don’t just work through a list of wedding-band standards. We build sets around songs we genuinely love playing: great grooves, big choruses, clever arrangements and tunes that make a room move.

Tell us what you love — and what you’d rather not hear. Soul and Motown? Lovely. Funk, rock, Latin, hip-hop, 90s dance or dancefloor throwbacks? Also lovely. We’ll take the steer, choose the right musicians and shape the set around you, while leaving enough freedom to follow the dancefloor when the plan needs to go out of the window.

We do our own arrangements, medleys and segues, so the set keeps moving rather than stopping for a breather every three minutes.

We’ll play the obvious song when it’s the right song. We just don’t build the band around the obvious choices.

What it actually looks like when we play.

03 / REAL MOMENTS

No staged dancefloor. No hired crowd. No recording studio fixing it afterwards. Just little bits we’ve filmed at real weddings when the room is properly going — and the audio you hear is the band genuinely playing live in the room.

FIREBALL

Someone ordered a round. We supplied the soundtrack.

2Step

90s DANCE/ WEDDING

Can’t go wront with this most epic of 90’s bangers.

Country First Dance

Jordan took on this live first dance, and the whole room got moving.

One more chorus. Nobody’s ready to go home.

Angles

Mr and Mrs Angel. On shoulders. You couldn’t write it.

Superstition

That groove never gets old. Neither does playing it.

An Ed Sheeran first dance, played live at Sefton Palm House in Liverpool.

Man I Need

A little Olivia Dean, straight onto the dancefloor.

THE LAST DANCE

Place Your Hand

The drummer and singer having almost as much fun as the guests.

04 / INCLUDED

What you actually get.

Completely live.

No backing tracks. No pretending. What you hear is what the musicians in front of you are playing.

Your first dance, live.

If we can do a good job of your song choice, we’ll learn it and make it yours.

Five-piece and upwards.

Start with a proper five-piece party band and scale it up with extra vocals, keys and horns when the room — or the party — wants more.

Male & female lead vocals. Horns for proper impact.

Two lead voices up front gives us more range, more colour and more ways to lift a set. Add trumpet and sax and the whole thing gets another gear; go bigger again with keys and extra players and it can feel properly enormous.

The whole day covered.

Ceremony music, solo piano or vocals, jazz for drinks, acoustic Live Lounge-style covers as an early-evening warm-up, then the full party band at night — plus PA, dancefloor lighting and playlists around the live sets. One musical team can cover as much or as little of the day as you want.

A sound limiter doesn’t have to kill the party.

For venues with strict noise limits, ask about our Silent Band: electric kit, an ampless stage and wireless headphones for up to 100 guests — still a genuinely live band, just without fighting the venue.

Mr Brightside? We’ll talk.

05 / THE TUNES

Stevie Wonder, Aretha, Chic and Motown into Prince, Bruno Mars, hip-hop classics, 90s dance, raucous rock, huge pop singalongs and properly good party tunes. Where it goes from there depends on the room. Some nights lean hard into soul and funk; others want guitars, big choruses and everyone shouting the words back at us. We keep the tunes moving and follow whatever is making the floor go off.

Got a strong idea of what you love? Tell us. Rather leave it to the band? Even better.

Good songs.

Great grooves.

No obligation to be cheesy.

Something for everyone.

06 / THE LINE-UP

A five-piece party band, a bigger showband, or the right music earlier in the day — built around the room, rather than trying to shove a square peg into a round party.

Based in Shropshire.
Usually somewhere else.

We play weddings and events across Shropshire, Cheshire, Staffordshire, the West Midlands, North Wales, Manchester, Liverpool and further afield — from marquees and barns to country houses, city venues and big corporate rooms.

If you like what we do, tell us where the party is. We’ll work out the rest.

08 / CHECK YOUR DATE

Planning something good?

Tell us when and where. We’ll tell you what we can do.

I’m a musician, not a salesman. If we’re free and it sounds like the right fit, I’ll tell you what I think will work, what it costs and we can take it from there. No hard sell.
