Shrewsbury, we're doing it again.
Ten musicians. Four vocalists. Two horns. One very beautiful church about to have a thoroughly unreasonable amount of funk thrown at it.
Funky Good Times returns to St Mary's Church, Shrewsbury, on Saturday 29 May 2027, with the full ten-piece Hot Jazz Biscuits. Soul, Motown, funk and big party tunes, a home crowd and very little restraint.
Bring your mates, bring your singing voice, and don't worry too much about the dancing. We certainly won't.
The plan
- Doors open at 7pm. The band starts at 8pm.
- We'll finish around 10:30pm — possibly 11pm if we get carried away.
- Mainly standing and dancing, with limited unreserved seating on a first-come, first-served basis.
- A fully licensed bar provided by Gin Different.
- Sound and lighting by Pro Audio Services. Your ears and eyes are in good hands.
