The Hot Jazz Biscuits started as a jazz band nearly twenty years ago. Things got slightly out of hand.
These days we’re a wedding and party band built around a bunch of very good musicians who’ve been playing together for years — people who know the tunes, know each other and actually enjoy being on stage together.
The line-up changes depending on the gig.
The standard doesn’t.

Tell us what you love, what you would rather avoid, and any songs that mean something to you. We’ll use that to shape a set that feels like your wedding.
Then, on the night, we pay attention. We know the tunes, but your guests decide which ones really take off. If a groove is working, we stay with it. If the room wants to go somewhere else, we go with it. That’s one of the lovely things about a live band.

They wanted 90s garage, hip-hop and dance. Steph delivered, with the crowd singing and dancing along.
Country First Dance
A country first dance with a brilliant chorus, a very happy couple, and a song we’re glad they chose.
The newlyweds surrounded by their guests, singing Hey Jude together. A lovely way to end the night.
Angels
A special request with a personal connection for the couple, saved as a surprise for the very last song.
Superstition
Rich’s camerawork is a little enthusiastic. The band are enjoying themselves, and Maff’s grin at the end says the rest.

Two 50-minute sets, plus encores
That’s our usual evening booking. We’ll agree the set times around your plans, with encores within the agreed finish. Want more live music? A third set is available at an additional cost.
Two lead voices
Our core six-piece includes male and female lead vocals, giving us more room to move between songs, styles and sounds.
Your first dance, played live
Send us the exact version you love, with plenty of notice. If it suits the band and we can do it justice, we’ll learn it. If the original recording is the better choice, we’ll tell you.
PA and dancefloor lighting
We bring the sound system and lighting for the band and dancefloor. We’ll agree the setup with your venue so everything is ready when it needs to be.
Playlists around the band
For an evening-only booking, playlists cover the time before and between our live sets. Our two example packages keep the music going until midnight.
Wireless microphones for speeches
Speech microphones are available from the agreed PA setup time. For daytime speeches, choose a package with the earlier setup included.

You don’t need the biggest band.
You need the right one for the room, the crowd and what you actually want the music to do.
Party Band
The core Biscuits. Six musicians: two lead voices, guitar, bass, drums and keys. Enough variety to move through the tunes you love, with a band that enjoys playing them together.
Jazz & Drinks Receptions
Relaxed jazz for your drinks reception, with trumpet and piano, or a larger jazz lineup. We also offer an acoustic duo with vocals and guitar for the afternoon.
Show Band
Add trumpet and sax to the core six for our eight-piece band. Horn lines, a bigger sound and more happening on stage. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll help you choose the lineup.
Ceremony & Special Moments
Piano or live vocals for your ceremony. Tell us which moments you’d like music for, and we’ll work through the songs and timings with you.
Silent Band
Live music for venues with sound limits. Electric drums, an ampless stage and a live mix through wireless headphones. We’ll agree the setup with your venue.

Two ways to build your day.
You can book the evening party or have us cover the music through the day. These two examples show what that could look like. We’ll work through the timings and your venue with you.

Example package — £2,500
Our six-piece evening band, with the PA ready around midday for background music and speeches. A proper party, with the practical bits covered too.
Six performing musicians: male and female lead vocals, guitar, bass, drums and keyboards.
Two 50-minute live sets, plus encores within the agreed finish.
A live first dance where the song suits the band.
PA and dancefloor lighting.
PA setup around midday for background music and wireless speech microphones.
A daytime handover to a nominated person from your wedding team, with the band returning for the evening.
Playlists before, between and after the live sets until midnight.
We’ll show your nominated person, such as your planner or best man, how to use the daytime music and microphones. They look after those during the day; we return for the evening party.
From the aisle to the last dance.
Example package — £3,500
Piano for your ceremony, jazz while the drinks are flowing, and the eight-piece Biscuits for the evening. Someone from our team looks after the daytime sound, so the music and speeches are taken care of as the day moves along.
Solo piano for the ceremony, including 15–20 minutes of relaxed jazz as guests arrive, your entrance song, two songs during the signing and an exit song as everyone leaves.
A trumpet-and-piano jazz duo for the afternoon: 90 minutes of live music, as one set or two 45-minute sets.
PA setup around midday, with someone from our team looking after the daytime music and microphones.
Background music around the live performances and wireless microphones for speeches.
An eight-piece evening band: our core six, with trumpet and saxophone added.
Two 50-minute live sets, plus encores within the agreed finish, and a live first dance where the song suits the band.
PA, dancefloor lighting and playlists around the evening band until midnight.
We’ll choose the relaxed jazz as your ceremony guests arrive; you choose the four ceremony songs. We’ll agree the daytime timings with you and your venue.
A few practical details
Example prices are based on a venue in our usual area around Shrewsbury, Cheshire and Manchester. Any additional travel will be included in your quote. We’ll confirm access, setup and performance timings with you and your venue.
The playlists cover the gaps around the live music. If you would like a DJ mixing live and taking requests, mention that when you enquire so we can discuss it separately.

Barn, marquee, country house, city venue, enormous corporate room — we’re not especially fussy.
