00 / BANDS & LINE-UPS
Five ways to bring the Biscuits to your day.
From one or two musicians for the ceremony to a full Show Band at night, we build the line-up around the room, the crowd and what you actually want the music to do.
You can book one bit of the day or put several together.
We’ll help you work out what makes sense.
Pick the bit that fits.
You don’t need the biggest band.
You need the right one.
01 / PARTY BAND
Soul, Motown and funk into hip-hop, 90s dance and a big singalong when the moment calls for it. Our core six-piece covers plenty of ground, with a set shaped around your favourites and the people on the dancefloor.
The usual evening booking includes two 50-minute live sets, plus encores within the agreed finish, PA and dancefloor lighting. We’ll discuss your first dance, musical favourites and the timings before the day. A third live set is available at an additional cost.
Booking just the evening band? Playlists cover the gaps before and between our sets, finishing when the band does unless we’ve agreed otherwise. Our two example packages include playlists through to midnight.
Seen a singer you particularly like?
Tell us when you enquire. The Biscuits are a regular team of musicians, and we put the lineup together around your date and the music you want. Our videos feature different singers and lineups; we’ll explain the options available for your date.
If your favourite singer is already booked, we’ll explain the alternatives and help you hear the other voices.
A proper band. A proper party.
Line-up
Core six-piece band.
Between sets
Playlists before and between live sets.
Horns
Add trumpet or saxophone.
Two lead voices
Male and female lead vocals.
Best for
Weddings and parties where the band’s job is fairly simple: get everyone involved and keep them there.
02 / SHOWBAND
The same musical range, with bigger arrangements, punchy horn lines and more back-and-forth between the musicians. For an evening where the band is a big part of the occasion: a fuller live sound, more happening on stage and plenty of room for the players to enjoy themselves.
You can book it for the evening or as part of the full-day example, with ceremony piano and an afternoon jazz duo. We’ll help you work out which parts of the day you want us to cover.
The full-fat Biscuits.
Line-up
Eight-piece band.
Horns
Trumpet and saxophone included.
Between sets
Playlists before and between live sets.
Two lead voices
Male and female lead vocals.
Best for
Big rooms, big crowds and occasions where the band wants to feel like part of the show rather than simply something happening in the corner.
03 / SILENT BAND
A strict sound limit can change the setup you need. Our Silent Band uses an electric kit, an ampless stage and wireless headphones to reduce the sound reaching the room while keeping the performance live.
Send us your venue’s noise limits and music curfew. We’ll talk to you about what is possible and agree a setup that works with the venue’s rules.
Live music for venues with sound limits.
USUALLY 4–6 PIECE LINE-UP
Compact enough for rooms where both space and volume are limited.
WIRELESS HEADPHONES
Guests hear the complete professionally mixed band directly through their headphones.
Electric drums and an ampless stage
Less sound in the room, with the full performance in your headphones.
Planned with your venue
Tell us the sound limit and music curfew. We’ll agree what is possible before you book.
04 — JAZZ & DRINKS RECEPTIONS
Trumpet and piano for your drinks reception: 90 minutes of live jazz, played as one set or two 45-minute sets to fit around your day.
Vocals and guitar for your drinks reception
An acoustic vocals-and-guitar duo for your drinks reception. Tell us what you’d like to hear, and we’ll agree the music and playing times around your day.
Jazz for your drinks reception
SOLO TO SIX-PIECE
Build it around the space, the guest numbers and how noticeable you want the music to be.
Instrumental or with vocals
Both work.
Jazz, swing, Latin, New Orleans and more
Plus soul and relaxed versions of more modern tunes.
Roaming options
Smaller acoustic and skiffle-style line-ups can wander around amongst everybody.
Best for
Drinks, dinner, garden parties and the parts of the day that need atmosphere rather than a dancefloor.
COMPLETELY FLEXIBLE
This one really can be shaped around the event.
05 - CEREMONY & SPECIAL MOMENTS
About 15–20 minutes of relaxed jazz piano as your guests arrive, followed by your chosen entrance song, two songs during the signing, and an exit song as you and your guests make your way out. We’ll choose the arrival music; you choose the four ceremony songs.
Live vocals for your ceremony
We can also arrange live vocals for your ceremony. Tell us which songs and moments you have in mind, and we’ll work through the music and timings with you.
Piano for your ceremony
SOLO PIANO
Classical music, jazz and stripped-back versions of modern songs.
Live vocals
Your chosen songs, planned around the moments that matter.
Vocals and guitar
A relaxed live duo for your drinks reception.
SONGS ARRANGED FOR YOU
Give us the version that matters. We’ll take it from there.
BEST FOR
Aisle entrances, signing the register, exits, first dances and the bits where one song matters more than fifty.
WANT MORE THAN ONE?
You don’t have to choose one line-up and stick with it.
A couple of musicians might cover the ceremony, some of the same people can play during drinks, and then the evening band arrives properly later on.
Because we’re using the same wider group of musicians, putting several parts of the day together can often make much more sense than booking everything separately.
Tell us the rough shape of the day.
We’ll work out the sensible version.
