Booking the Perfect Band for Your Big Day

Planning your wedding entertainment can be one of the most exciting parts of organizing your big day.  Live Music adds energy, charm, and unforgettable moments to your special day.

To make sure everything goes smoothly, here are some tips to help you book your dream wedding band.

Two musicians, including a saxophonist in the foreground, converse or perform closely during a live set with cool blue stage lighting.

Book Early to Secure Your Date

The best bands book up fast - often 12 to 18 months in advance, especially for summer Saturdays. Once you’ve got a date and venue, don’t hang around! Enquire early to secure your perfect wedding entertainment.

Match the Band to Your Style

Planning a black-tie evening or a festival-style garden party? Choose a band that fits your style - think elegant jazz for a classey vibe, or a high-energy soul & funk band to get the party started!

Ask About Packages

Live music during your ceremony, drinks reception and evening party? Yes please! Many bands offer full-day packages with flexible options - chat through what parts of your day you'd like music for and build the perfect setup for your special day.

Special Requests - Go for It

Your first dance. Your favourite throwback. That one track that always gets your friends shouting. A good band will be happy to learn a special song or shape the setlist to your taste. It’s your day - make it yours!

A full band including vocalists, saxophonist, guitarist, and bassist performs on stage under red and pink lighting, with a lively female singer mid-dance.

Check Reviews and Testimonials

Take a look at reviews or ask for references from past clients. A reputable band will have glowing feedback about their professionalism and ability to create an unforgettable atmosphere.

Beware the Noise Limiters

Some venues have noise limiters that cut the power if the band gets too loud. Not ideal mid-guitar solo. Before booking, ask your venue if they use one, and at what level. Most experienced bands (like us) can work around them - but it’s best to check early.
